It’s been a great year of making art for Tiki lovers everywhere. Here’s a quick review, or maybe not so quick since I haven’t blogged at all!
Next to come “The Kid,” the first mug? or is it a pitcher? This is styled after the Hei-tiki with many traditional Maori symbols on the front and back. With my sculpture experience, I always design in the round with the design directing the eye to go around the form.
Then the awaited foot surgery. While in recovery I started designing “Diver Bob.”
The rest is history….”Tourcan 2 Love,” some skull cups, tiki babies
created AbiNormal Tiki,
and then had my first showing at the Original Tiki Market in Garden Grove, CA.
Today was the final day of a porcelain painting workshop. I really love watching students learn and achieve their goals. Not only that , we had a lot of fun in the process!
