During the hot weather Carol and I also painted at a couple of the local state parks. Both of these are on the coast and we found places in the shade. While at San Mateo, a fire broke out in the wilderness area and we had to evacuate the park. We were planning on staying all day, but to tell you the truth, I was glad to quit early because I was ready for a tall glass of ice tea by my pool.
