My Journey with the Angels: Nocturne

This painting came out of nowhere; I guess that is not true since I live by the ocean, love the ocean and just finished a series of ocean paintings. What is more true to say is I had no intention of painting an ocean scene when I began, it just happened.

Started as a Trinity theme.


Flipped it and then figures began to emerge.


As the colors blended softly into grey, it reminded me of some of Wm. Turner's paintings.

Give the gift of creativity to yourself or others. Now’s the time to fulfill you dreams of expressing yourself and creating art in ceramics. In this 3-hour workshop, the participant will have the opportunity to create a character mug. You can have a planned design or create from the act of doing.

No experience is needed and those with experience will also enjoy the camaraderie and chance to create. Step-by-step, you will be guided through the processes of designing a mug with slab construction and how you can press out the clay to change the shape. You will learn how to add texture and decorate with clay shapes. The final mug will be about 6” in height and will be a functional piece of art out of “high-fire” glazed clay. It’s time to treat yourself or another lucky person, to an evening of creativity and relaxation. Private group/party classes of 10 or more can be arranged on request.

Such success and passion and a whole lot of fun from the previous workshop that I am offering a repeat of the first workshop. Students can chose between flat tiles or plates (best for beginner) or dimensional forms. (Vases, cups etc.)

Creating a Mural on Tile with Porcelain Paint

The class will cover beginning porcelain painting techniques. Students will be painting on ceramic tiles that will be fired in the kiln, creating a painting that can hang or be inset in a wall as a mural.
